The workshop will be held in the lecture room at:

Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies

10 Burlington Road

Dublin  4

Ireland

NOTE: The EGU General Assembly 2011 is following immediately after the workshop. It is held from 3 - 8 April 2011 in Vienna, Austria. Please consider attending the EGU meeting and contributing to the session SM3.7 “Multi-dimensional electromagnetic modelling and inversion” (convened by Marion Miensopust, Pilar Queralt and Colin Farquharson).

This web page provides you with information about and around the second MT 3D inversion workshop. Just as last time, the workshop is thought to be an opportunity to bring a mix of MT 3D inversion code writers and users together and see how well the codes perform as well as how well/poorly the understanding of how to use them is. To ensure it will be an interactive workshop the number of participants is limited and attendance is on invitation only.

The Workshop section on this page gives you all workshop related information - e.g. list of participants and test data sets.

Regarding questions like ‘how to get here?’ and ‘where to stay?’ the pages Transport, Accommodation and Maps might be helpful. For those of you who have a live beside the science some of the more touristic aspects you could combine with your trip to Dublin might also be of interest.

Please use our web interface (http://www.dias.ie/mt3dinv2/Registration.html) to register and book accommodation (if you wish to stay at Pembroke Townhouse or Leeson Bridge Guesthouse). You will also be able to request an invitation letter for visa purposes via the web interface.

For suggestions, requirements, ideas etc. regarding the workshop itself please contact Marion Miensopust, Pilar Queralt or Alan Jones.
