Biographical Sketch: Volker Rath received his PhD in Geophysics at the Freie Universität Berlin. Since the he has bee working as Senior Researcher at RWTH Aachen University (Aachen) and Ramon y Cajal Fellow at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). Since 2014 he is Schroedinger Fellow at DIAS.
