Being familiar with current space-based observatories such as Chandra, Swift, NuStar and Fermi-LAT, he primarily focuses on the multi-wavelength studies of astronomical sources. He collaborates with the High Energy Astrophysics Theory Group of the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics and, as a member of the H.E.S.S. collaboration, he is actively involved in the Galactic science projects. Davit is a postdoctoral research fellow at DIAS (Irish Research Council Laureate Project Fellow) where he is engaged in the scientific exploration of particle acceleration and high-energy radiation processes in stellar-wind bubbles and supernovae interacting with dense stellar winds. He works with students from different universities, helping them to analyse and interpret data from space telescopes and acquainting them deeply with High-Energy Astrophysics.
The ISOS project was launched in 1999, and since then has digitised many historical Irish manuscripts from across the world. This work continues today.
Another example of COVID creativity arises from Celtic Studies researchers, who launched the Irish Script on Screen project, so Scholars worldwide could access ancient manuscripts online. So far this year there has been 2,676,399 hits on the on the website.

Our second example of creativity was from our Theoretical physicists, who continued their collaborative work on complex theorems by installing some blackboards on the railings outside DIAS to work safely in the open air.
