Stellar Coronal Mass Ejections on Epsilon Eridani

Abstract: Stellar Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs), while having some tentative and indirect detections, remain an otherwise elusive phenomenon. I will discuss the simulations of such stellar CMEs using observations of the stellar magnetic field and the 3D MHD code, AWSOM, for the case of nearby solar-type star epsilon eridani. These stellar CMEs could be detected at low-frequency radio wavelengths, within the regime of ground-based observatories. In this talk, I will discuss the details of simulating CMEs and their associated radio emission, as well as the challenges facing ground-based detections of these events.
