COMHALTACHT UÍ AIMHIRGÍN

Institiúid neamhspleách reachtúil taighde a bunaíodh sa mbliain 1940 is ea Institiúid Ard-Léinn Bhaile Átha Cliath. Trí scoil atá inti ina ndéantar taighde bunaidh ar an Léann Ceilteach, an Fhisic Theoraiciúil agus an Fhisic Chosmach. Tá an Institiúid maoinithe ag an Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna agus is di a thuairiscíonn sí.

Aidhm na Comhaltachta.

Tá aidhm dhúbailte ag an scéim seo. Ar thaobh amháin, postanna meán-téarmacha atá maoinithe go sách maith i dtimpeallacht thaighde den scoth a sholáthar do thaighdeoirí a bhfuil gealladh fúthu chun go bhféadfaidh siad forbairt a dhéanamh ar a n-obair acadúil. Ar an dtaobh eile, cur le cláracha taighde na hInstitiúide trí dhaoine agus smaointe nua a thabhairt isteach go rialta.

Is i gcuimhne ar Osborn Ó hAimhirgín, céadstiúrthóir Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh agus duine de phríomhscoláirí Gaeilge a linne, a ainmníodh an chomhaltacht.

Intofacht.

Ba cheart go mbeadh taithí mhaith ag iarrthóirí ar thaighde ábhartha agus céim PhD (nó a comhionann de chéim) a bheith bainte amach acu.

Critéir Roghnaithe.

Cáilíocht thaighde an iarrthóra agus an gealladh atá faoi/fúithi.

Áiseanna Tacaíochta Taighde.

Beidh teacht ag comhaltaí ar áiseanna taighde  na Scoile. Chomh maith leis sin beidh siad in ann liúntas taistil cuí a fháil nuair a bhíonn airgead ann chuige sin.

Dualgais.

Ní mór do chomhaltaí a gcuid ama a chaitheamh ar thaighde i gcomhairle le Stiúrthóir na Scoile agus páirt iomlán a ghlacadh i saol na Scoile. Caithfidh comhaltaí tuarascáil in aghaidh na bliana a chur faoi bhráid an Stiúrthóra, ina gcuirfear síos ar an dul chun cinn atá déanta acu go dtí sin agus ina leagfar amach plean oibre don bhliain ina dhiaidh.

Ba chóir dóibh a bheith i láthair ag léachtaí agus seimineáir a eagraíonn an Scoil agus cur le clár foilsithe na Scoile. Ní mór dóibh sraith de sheimineáir bainteach lena dtionscnamh taighde a thabhairt ag stáitse nach deireanaí ná an tríú bliain den Chomhaltacht. B’fhéidir go n-iarrfaí orthu cabhrú le hiarratais ar mhaoiniú a chur le chéile, agus cuidiú le tionscnaimh thaighde na Scoile.

Coinníollacha Ceapacháin.

Ceapfar comhaltaí ar bhonn conradh spriocthéarma suas go 5 bliana. Is mar thréimhse phromhaidh a bheidh an chéad bhliain.
