May 20th is World Bee Day, so to mark the occasion we are giving away two copies of Bechbretha: an Old Irish law-tract on bee-keeping.
“Bechbretha, ‘bee-judgements’, provides a detailed account of early Irish law relating to bee-keeping, and covers such topics as ownership of swarms, theft of bee-hives, and neighbours’ entitlements to honey from a beekeeper.”
Update 2022-05-30: Many thanks to all who entered the draw! The first names picked out of the virtual hat are Sofia Assarrar and Christophe Archan. We’ll be in touch shortly for a delivery address for your prizes!
