The School of Celtic Studies is able to offer two scholarships to be taken up in June 2023. Applicants will normally hold a doctoral degree prior to taking up the scholarship but applications from researchers who are nearing completion of the doctorate will also be considered.
Two scholarships are available: a scholarship with a maximum tenure of 3 years and a scholarship with a maximum tenure of one year.
Applicants should provide a full CV together with an outline of the research which they propose to undertake. A three-year research plan (maximum of 1000 words) and a one-year research plan (maximum of 500 words), should be supplied, depending on the scholarship in question. Applicants may apply for both scholarships, if they wish, provided they submit two different research plans.

Conditions of Scholarships
Scholars are expected to reside in Dublin, to attend regularly at the Institute and to participate fully in all activities in the School of Celtic Studies – seminars, lectures and conferences.
