Earthquake off Welsh Coast, recorded on the Irish National Seismic Network

map-irish-sea-2013On 26th June, 2013 at 22:28:01.5 UTC an earthquake Mag ML2.8 occurred in the Irish Sea, off the Welsh Coast, location 52.893N, 4.722W and depth 12 Km.  This event was followed by two aftershocks, approximately 30 seconds (2.4Ml) and 2 minutes 30 seconds (1.2Ml), respectively, after the main event.  The Irish National Seismic Stations recorded these events.  If you felt these events please fill out our questionnaire.

These events are located in the same area as the magnitude 3.8 ML earthquake on 29th May 2013 which was felt widely throughout North Wales and Ireland.  Below is as an image of the seismic traces of the the main event and its first aftershock 30 seconds later.
