The event was recorded at Irish National Seismic Network (INSN) stations. The event also appeared on several BGS stations in Wales and Southern England. See seismogram below.
The most recent events locating off the west coast of Ireland include the magnitude 4.0 earthquake 100km off the coast of Mayo in 2012, and the magnitude 3.0 earthquake in the Porcupine Seabright Basin in 1998.
