Biographical Sketch :
Eamon studied theoretical physics at University College Dublin and then  moved to Strasbourg, France where he received a masters degree in Space Studies at the International Space University.  He then moved back to Dublin and received his PhD from Trinity College Dublin where he studied the winds of evolved stars at radio wavelengths. After this he obtained a post-doctoral position at Onsala Space Observatory in Sweden where he continued his research and became a member of the ALMA Nordic Node. He is now an IRC postdoctoral research fellow at the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies and his research is focused on high angular resolution radio observations of evolved stars using ALMA, JVLA, and LOFAR.
