Bhain sé amach dochtúireacht san ollscoil chéanna faoi stiúradh an Ollaimh Damian McManus sa bhliain 2013. Ina dhiaidh sin chaith sé an bhliain acadúil 2013/14 i mbun taighde agus teagaisc i Marburg na Gearmáine (Philipps-Universität), sarar aistrigh sé go dtí Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh, mar a bhfuil sé anois ina scoláire iardhochtúireachta.
