Biographical Sketch

Marie-Luise completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Celtic Civilisation and French at University College Cork in 2009. In 2012, she won the inaugural Murphy Irish Exchange Fellowship to the University of Notre Dame where she carried out research at the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies. Marie-Luise obtained her PhD from University College Cork (Department of Early and Medieval Irish/Department of French) under the supervision of Prof. John Carey and Prof. Grace Neville in 2015. She subsequently joined the School of Celtic Studies as an O’Donovan Scholar in October 2015.
