Two Ph.D. studentships in Theoretical Physics
Applications are invited for two SFI-funded Ph.D. studentships at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS). Candidates should hold a B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline. Additional post-degree (e.g. M.Sc.) experience is preferable but not essential.
The position is to be based within the DIAS’s School of Theoretical Physics (https://www.dias.ie/stp/) in Dublin 4, starting in the autumn of 2017. The research undertaken will be in the area of topological-phases of quantum-matter with the aim of exploring how the exotic properties of these materials can be used to store and manipulate quantum information.
Interested candidates should provide a C.V. and details of two referees using the web interface below. For informal enquiries please email Dr. Graham Kells.
Candidates should aim to submit their application by May 7th 2017.
DIAS is an equal opportunities employer.
