29th January 2016 - DIAS participation in Japanese Space Mission ASTRO-H

DIAS is a partner in Japan’s ASTRO-H space mission. The spacecraft has now passed all of its final tests and has been delivered to the launch site in Tanegashima for a scheduled launch by the Japanese Space Agency JAXA on 12th February. Read more

Senior Professor Chris Bean, Head of the Geophysics Section in the School of Cosmic Physics, has been awarded a Science Foundation Ireland Research Infrastructure Award.  Read more

 

12th - 14th April 2016 Contested Astrophysics

The Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies (DIAS), with the support of an interdisciplinary grant from the Irish Research Council will hold a specialist workshop in April 2016 examining some disputed areas of high-energy astrophysics.
