Laura obtained her Bsc in Earth Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University in 2013 in Hungary. Afterwards, she joined MOL Group as an exploration geologist where she performed basin- and petroleum system analysis. After moving to Norway in 2014, she graduated with an MSc in Petroleum Geosciences from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Laura joined DIAS in 2017 under the supervision of Dr Brian O’Reilly, Prof. Patrick Shannon and Prof. Peter Haughton. Her research investigates the evolution, sedimentary and crustal structure of the Hatton Basin and its role within Irish North Atlantic passive margins.
