Scéim na Mac Léinn Samhraidh – Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh

Beidh trí intéirneacht ar fáil i Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh mar chuid de Scéim na Mac Léinn Samhraidh 2019.

Déantar taighde i Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh ar ghort leathan na dteangacha Ceilteacha, idir shean agus nua, agus ar an litríocht agus an cultúr a ghabhann leo.

Beidh iarrthóirí a n-éiríonn leo sa chomórtas ag obair ar thionscnamh taighde nó cartlannaíochta de chuid na Scoile faoi stiúir duine den fhoireann anseo. 

Glacfar le hiarratais ó iarchéimithe, agus ó fhochéimithe atá ag dul i 
dtreo ardchaighdeán (onóracha den chéad ghrád nó 2:1) a bhaint amach i 
scrúduithe na céime in institiúid tríu leibhéal.

Íocfar stipinn de €3,000 ar son intéirneachta a mhairfeas dhá mhí, ag tosú más féidir ar an 11 Meitheamh. 

Tá Scoil an Léinn Cheiltigh tiomanta don chomhionannas agus cuirfear fáilte dá réir sin  roimh iarratais ó fhir agus ó mhná.

5.00 an 3 Bealtaine an dáta deiridh le haghaidh iarratas.

Ba cheart go mbeadh na nithe seo a leanas san iarratas:

    i) Curriculum Vitae (2 lch ar a mhéid)
    ii) Litir chlúdaigh ina míneoidh an t-iarrthóir an fáth a bhfuil sé/sí ag brath ar thabhairt faoin taighde mar ghairm (lch amháin ar a mhéid)
    iii) Litir thacaíochta ó stiúrthóir an chúrsa ag dearbhú go bhfuil mianach san iarrthóir ardonóracha a bhaint amach sa scrúdú deiridh (fochéimithe) nó litir thacaíochta ón stiúrthóir taighde (iarchéimithe).
    iv) Ba cheart an t-iarratas a uasluchtú mar chomhad PDF (ná baintear leas as córas ar bith eile) roimh 5.00 ar an Aoine, 3 Bealtaine.



DIAS Summer Studentships – Celtic Studies - 2019

As part of the DIAS Summer Studentships programme in 2019, DIAS School of Celtic Studies ( https://www.dias.ie/celt/) is able to offer some Summer Studentships. 

The DIAS School of Celtic Studies undertakes research in the broad field of the Celtic Languages medieval and modern and their associated literature and culture.

Successful candidates will work on one of the research or archiving projects being carried out in the School under the direction of one of our team.

Applications will be considered from postgraduate or from undergraduates at an higher education institution who are in their final year, are in line for a first-class or 2.1 honours degree and have an interest in a research.

The stipend is for a total scholarship of €3,000 and covers a two month internship ideally starting on or before June 11th.

DIAS School of Celtic Studies is committed to gender balance so both female and male candidates are encouraged to apply. 

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, 3 May. Successful candidates will be notified by email as soon as possible after that date.

The application should consist of

i) A CV (max 2 pages)
ii) A cover letter detailing why the applicant wants to pursue a career in research (max 1 page)
iii) a letter of support from the Degree Course Director stating that the candidate is in line for a 1st or 2.1 class honours degree (undergraduates) or a letter of support from the Research Supervisor (postgraduates). 
iv) the application and letter should be uploaded as a PDF file (please do not use other formats) before 5pm on Friday, 3 May.
