DIAS SUMMER STUDENTSHIPS – CELTIC STUDIES - 2021 As part of the DIAS Summer Studentships programme in 2021, DIAS School of Celtic Studies (https://www.dias.ie/celt/) is able to offer two Summer Studentships. The DIAS School of Celtic Studies undertakes research in the broad field of the Celtic Languages medieval and modern and their associated literature and culture. Successful candidates will work on one of the research or archiving projects being carried out in the School under the direction of one of our team. Applications will be considered from postgraduate or from undergraduates at a higher education institution who are in their final year, are in line for a first-class or 2.1 honours degree and have an interest in research. The stipend is for a total scholarship of €3,000 and covers a two month internship ideally starting on 7 June 2021. DIAS School of Celtic Studies is committed to gender balance so both female and male candidates are encouraged to apply. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, 23 April 2021. Successful candidates will be notified by email as soon as possible after that date. The application should consist of i) a CV (max 2 pages) ii) a cover letter detailing why the applicant wants to pursue a career in research (max 1 page) iii) a letter of support from the Degree Course Director stating that the candidate is in line for a 1st or 2.1 class honours degree (undergraduates) or a letter of support from the Research Supervisor (postgraduates). iv) the application and letter should be uploaded as a PDF file (please do not use other formats) before 5pm on Friday, 23 April 2021.
