Interests in High Energy Astrophysics is primarily focused on extragalactic objects, studied using primarliy X-ray and IR observations from satellites. The investigations deal mainly with Active Galactic Nuclei, galaxies with sarbursts and clusters of galaxies. Observational efforts feature CCD imaging and spectroscopy of galaxies, while projects of astrophysical interpretation are devoted to issues such as jet precession and stellar population synthesis. Other lines of research include stellar evolution ( late, compact stages), Galactic structure, source selection techniques and Data Archives. Investigations of starbursts and Wolf-Rayet galaxies is also undertaken. An involvement with instrumentation projects concerns detector designs, in particular the INTEGRAL satellite which is expected to target the elusive gamma-ray sources.
