Title: Fracton Gauge fields in Curved Space From Higher Dimensions
Abstract: Fractons are a new type of quasi-particle excitations with restricted mobility that have attracted considerable attention in recent years both in condensed matter and high energy physics. After briefly reviewing the effective field theory that describes Fractonic interactions, which can be understood as a generalisation of Maxwell’s electrodynamics, we show how Fracton gauge fields in curved space can be obtained from a five-dimensional relativistic theory upon dimensional reduction.
