Title: Surface Operators in 4d/2d Duality on TQFT picture of 4d N=2 Argyres-Douglas Theories
Speaker: Ruidong Zhu (DIAS)
Abstract: In this talk, I will first give a brief review on the TQFT picture of 4d N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories, which originates from the construction of these gauge theories by compactifying a 6d N=(2,0) theory on some Riemann surface. We examine this duality by crosschecking another duality between 4d N=2 SCFTs and 2d chiral CFTs, i.e comparing the so-called Schur limit of the S^3 x S^1 partition function of 4d gauge theories with surface defects inserted calculated from the TQFT picture and the character of the dual chiral algebra. We managed to find a clear correspondence rule between the label of surface defects and representations of the dual chiral algebra, for two infinite series of Argyres-Douglas theories, (A_{N-1},A_{M-1}) with gcd(N,M)=1 and (A_1,A_{2N-1}) theories, whose dual chiral algebras are respectively minimal models and logarithmic W-algebras.
