Our people

Since late July 2007, it houses the Astronomy and Astrophysics Section of the School of Cosmic Physics, is the continuation of Fitzwilliam Street after it passes through Fitzwilliam Square.

Our people

It is located in the heart of Georgian Dublin and it houses the Geophysics Section of the School of Cosmic Physics. Its central location makes Merrion Square relatively easy to find, even for people who are not familiar with the city.

Contact

It is located about 8 kms northwest of Dublin city centre, in the suburb of Castleknock. Easily accessible by car, head for Castleknock along the N3 out of Dublin. It is signposted from the Auburn roundabout (this is the only entrance to Dunsink Lane) which is in close proximity to the Blanchardstown intersection, on the M50.

  • to Auburn Avenue, Opposite Woodview Park, Stop 2961

Buses (numbers 38 and 39) to Dunsink leave from Baggot Street. Get off at the bus stop after the Auburn Avenue/New Dunsink Lane roundabout (Travel Lodge visible on the right) on the Navan Road, cross over to New Dunsink Lane and follow it for the next two miles.
