Principal responsibilities include: Technical and administrative support of research projects and grants (including grant preparation); website and library maintenance; staff and student administrative and technical support, and; support for public engagement activities at DIAS Dunsink Observatory (www.dunsink.dias.ie). Applicants must have a degree in a technical subject (astrophysics, physics or related) and have experience in technical and administrative support of research projects in physics and/or astrophysics.
The successful candidate will be based at DIAS Dunsink Observatory in Dublin 15, and will also be expected to work at DIAS offices in central Dublin. They must also be willing to travel both nationally and internationally.
Salary scale: €39,469 – 52,382 (new entrants to public sector – a different scale applies for existing public servants) The starting salary will be in line with public sector regulations – new entrants to the public sector will be appointed on the minimum point.
