Qualifications: – Ph.D. in Geophysics, GFZ Helmholtz Centre Potsdam and University of Potsdam, Potsdam, Germany – M.Sc. in Geophysics, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran – B.Sc. in Physics, Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran
Research Interests: As an observational seismologist, Nima’s research focuses on analysis of seismicity data (induced seismicity in geothermal reservoirs, volcano earthquakes), seismic event detection and source characterisation with emphasis on novel processing methods (machine learning, deep learning) and new observation technologies (distributed acoustic sensing – DAS). He also works on developing new tools for automating routine analysis of big seismic data.
