An online inter-disciplinary research forum has been scheduled for Friday 8 May 2020, 12-5pm @ dias.ie/drf2020/live. Although this year's forum will be a virtual one, it remains an opportunity for post-doctoral scholars and PhD students to share their current research with scholars and staff from across the three schools of DIAS. Participants are encouraged to develop a poster which illustrates their research. Entries should include a small abstract in a separate file
As always, the forum presents a great opportunity for scholars to sharpen their academic presentation skills in an informal setting. We hope a sense of community will still be abroad on the day through some live chat.
The organisers strongly encourage scholars from all three schools to participate in the forum. A coordinator from each section will liaise with participants regarding their entries.
There will be a prize for the 'best' poster given once the poll is complete - after 5pm.
Participants are asked to send their work to grogers@stp.dias.ie prior to Thursday 6 May 2020.

First up is the @uaespaceagency's Hope mission entered orbit this day last week. It is the first inter-planetary mission by the UAE, and will stay in a wide orbit for one Martian year or two earth years to study climate and weather. (2/5)
It's a busy month over at our planetary neighbour Mars. Three missions headed there have or will enter orbit this month. Why so many at one time? They were timed to launch when the distance between the Earth and Mars was relatively short. (1/5)
