Title: Renormalizing Some Non-Renormalizable QFTs

Abstract: The standard philosophy in quantum field theory is that power-counting non-renormalizable theories are meaningless at the quantum level, because of the very large freedom in choosing counter-terms. I will discuss some examples where, even though the theory is non-renormalizable, the counter-terms can be fixed by requiring that the theory has some special features.
