From the galactic disk to the protoplaneraty disks: The ECOGAL project
Speaker: Dr. Patrick Hennebelle from Universite Paris-Saclay
Abstract: The Ecogal project is a synergy ERC whose ambition is to provide a continuous and self-consistent statistically meaningful description of the structure formation within the Milky-Way from large scale molecular clouds down to protoplanetary disks. The project, which has started about one year ago, gathers two theoretical teams and two observational ones with highly complementary expertises. I will describe the motivations of the project, its structure and some of its very first results.
